We at Orchestra Vitae want to make a real difference to those who are affected by loneliness, be that through issues such as age, mental health or bereavement.
Therefore, at our next concert we are going to trial a new initiative – Concert Chums.
These volunteers will be on hand to guide our audience to the facilities, chat about the music and the orchestra and most importantly create a safe, supportive and welcoming environment for everyone. Concert Chums will be in action pre-concert, during the interval and at the end.
If you struggle with attending concerts and events alone, are looking for a new community to join or simply fancy a chat we can’t wait to meet you and welcome you into the OV Family!
At this difficult time, we want to bring our music to as many people as possible. We know that you can’t come to us, so we will be bringing as much music to you, virtually, as we can.
Our Principal Conductor, Pablo Urbina, will be running Music and Mindfulness sessions and he’ll be posting regularly online with tips about how we can use music to keep calm and improve our mental wellbeing at this challenging time.
We will also be running The Virtual Soirée. OV musicians will host bespoke recitals via an online platform. If you would be interested in us playing for you please get in touch with Fiona at email@example.com.
